Leia Fell-Murray Upped to Sr. Manager of Global Operations

MIAMI: Leia Fell-Murray has been promoted to the newly created position of Sr. Manager, Global Operations for The Kitchen. Her responsibilities include overall supervision of the studio’s global Project Manager teams and their assignments, from concept to delivery.

Leia began her journey at The Kitchen in 2021, as a Project Manager and is now celebrating her 5th year anniversary with the company as Sr. Manager of Global Operations. During her time with the Emmy Award Winning language studio, she has been an essential part of the international team; incorporating platforms and systems that created efficiency, streamlined workflows, and generated greater adaptability and will continue to work with the internal teams in her new role.

“My goal is to create processes internally that will allow our teams to focus more on delivering exceptional work, and less on administrative complexity”, said Fell-Murray when asked about her new position as Sr. Manager of Global Operations, “As our industry continues to evolve, staying adaptable and embracing innovation will always be key”.

Leia graduated from Duoc UC, in Santiago, Chile, where she began translating films for friends and classmates, which was her true introduction to the world of localization. She went on to study at the New York Film Academy, and worked as a videographer, video editor and a subtitle editor before relocating to Miami. “Localization brings together several of my greatest interests: production, language, music, film and television” commented Leia Fell-Murray. “It's a unique intersection where creativity, technology, and cultures meet; allowing content to connect with audiences around the world.”

Leia’s bilingual background in Latin Spanish and American English, her strong connection to both cultures, and her ample skillsets, have given her the opportunity to work in a wide variety of notable projects across different global markets.

“Every market, client and audience has its own cultural nuances, priorities and expectations. Truly understanding a global community means recognizing that there is rarely a one-size-fits-all approach. Having lived in multiple countries myself, working with clients from around the world, has taught me the importance of adaptability, cultural awareness and clear communication.  At the end of the day, it’s about building trust and ensuring that content resonates authentically with the audiences it is intended for.” Fell-Murray concluded.

“Leia has a secure and seasoned approach to working with clients, and as Head of Global Sales and Marketing for the studio,” Deeny Kaplan added, “I know that handing off any new project to Leia and her team, is bound to be headed for success”.
