Eutdel Garcia Upped to VP Ops and TECH at The Kitchen

MIAMI: Eutdel Garcia, who has held the position of Vice President Engineering at The Kitchen since 2021, and was directly responsible for leading the studio into the TPN approved Gold Badge network for the past 5 ½ years,  will assume the newly-created position of Vice President Operations and Technology for the Emmy Award Winning language studio effective immediately. Based in The Kitchen’s Miami headquarters, Eutdel will now be responsible for all global operations.

“I’m personally thrilled with the direction our teams are heading into. The fusion of operations and engineering will undoubtedly assist us in streamlining our current workflow systems, while integrating new opportunities as well,” Garcia explained. “There are so many possibilities on the horizon. As a whole, The Kitchen looks forward to growth physically and technically.”

Eutdel will now oversee all Operations, including casting, production, mixing,  media management and project management, as well as the vendor department globally. Eutdel will remain at the helm of the engineering department as well.

With a 25-year industry history in the technical and operational side of the business, prior to joining The Kitchen, Eutdel Garcia held the position of Director of Engineering for the Discovery Networks.

“I’ve loved engineering since I was a kid.  My closets in my bedroom were filled with tools and whatever I could find that looked technical.  My Mom was my biggest supporter and with every new gadget, I became more and more enamored with this industry,” Garcia reminisced.

“I actually received my engineering degree while I was working overnight at HBO….I asked a lot of questions in that position, and little did I know, they were watching me….and before I knew it, I was given an opportunity to be an entry level engineer….I jumped at the challenge.  It truly was my dream!”

Eutdel eventually became “engineering manager” for HBO and then joined the Harris Corporation and began involved with designing systems. “I had the unique opportunity to travel the world and design operational systems with my team.  It was an amazing opportunity to learn and experience different cultures globally, a key element to understanding our international client needs here at The Kitchen.”

“After HBO, I then joined the Discovery Networks and during my eight years there,  I was able to implement all of the knowledge I gained,” Garcia added.

“Growing the team and the technology here at The Kitchen continues to excite me every day,” Eutdel concluded. “That is truly the best part of this industry. You never know what will come next, but you do know to always be prepared for whatever it may be!”

Carlos Marcano, who previously held the title of Assistant Production Systems Engineer, will now be overseeing the media management and production teams as Manager of Technical Operations, reporting directly to Eutdel Garcia.

“Eutdel has put together an amazing team,” added Ken Lorber, President/CEO explained. “I know that he is a strong influence on our entire team and that The Kitchen’s position as a leading language service provider globally relies on his expertise, enthusiasm and guidance.  Eutdel’s energy and understanding of both the operational and technical side of the business is something I rely on every day.”
