LATAM Localization Expands at The Kitchen Miami

MIAMI: The Kitchen, in Miami, was originally founded as an off-shoot of the Venezuelan-based Cisneros Television Group in 2001 specifically to provide language dubbing services for its own 11 in-house networks.  Over the years, localization services for the LATAM markets continued to grow, as did the studio’s requests and capabilities in working to and from additional languages as well.

“We do work to and from all languages, in each territory, including working throughout LATAM to enhance our local talent pool. Providing language dubbing services, in Latin Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, however, was always a mainstay here in our Miami studios. Miami is known as the Gateway to Latin America and the City is now home to many native-speaking LAS and BPO actors”, Ashley Perdigon, Production Manager for The Kitchen explained.

“Recently, we’ve encountered a tremendous influx of requests for both LATAM languages,” Perdigon, added. “LAS and BPO dubbing is now a requirement for most global distribution of content and native speakers in both languages are in abundance in territory and in Miami.”

“The Kitchen, for example, has been providing language services for Paramount’s South Park for all 28 seasons, for NBC telenovelas for over 20 years, and for hundreds of films, series, documentaries, animation and anime programs as well,” Ashley added.”

It is because of the surge in LATAM dubbing requests that The Kitchen is continuing to expand its LAS and BPO team in Miami.

“We’ve brought in seasoned dubbing directors; new, native voice talent of all ages; updated our studios technically and were just awarded our third consecutive TPN (Trusted Partner Network) Gold Badge assuring clients’ of the highest content security of all program content, a demand of most major studios and networks today,” Perdigon continued.

The Kitchen is the industry’s only Emmy Award Winning language localization studio, working to and from all languages, for all formats and genres of programming.  For additional information, please email: info@thekitchen.tv.
