Inspiring Future Innovators: Iyuno Celebrates Girls' Day in Berlin

Iyuno’s Berlin EUREF studio opened its doors to girls aged 10+ for this year’s Girls’ Day, an annual event in Germany that aims to expose young students to technical careers in which women are traditionally underrepresented.
This year, Iyuno invited nine students to step into roles as editors, recording engineers, and mixing engineers – giving them a behind-the-scenes look at both the fun and technical expertise involved in post-production work. The students were guided through each step of the process including media services, time coding, recording sessions, editing, and final mixing.
“Our goal was to give the participants insight into the technical aspects of our daily work.” said Jadwiga Mielcarek, Editor – Dubbing. “We followed the journey of a project from its initial kick-off all the way to the final version that would be delivered to the client.”
According to the organization’s official website, Girls’ Day, also known as Future Prospects for Girls, is the largest career orientation project for female students in Germany. Approximately 15,000 Girls’ Day events occur simultaneously across the country, with up to 2.4 million girls attending annually.
Despite an increase of women in technical professions in recent decades, women are still underrepresented in many fields. Girls’ Day is working to close that gap by creating new opportunities for young women to explore different career paths. Iyuno is proud to support this mission and continue our annual participation.
